This experience was so enlightening. I’ve never worn makeup before but felt like it was time. Alayne was so kind and understanding. She set me up with a really great cup of tea and showed me a plan that was completely doable. I was worried that I might have to listen to a lecture about how I should be doing this or that, or that I’ve been ruining my skin all these years. I didn’t get a lecture. Alayne treated me like an equal (as opposed to an expert talking to newbie). I’ve been wearing my makeup almost every day and even though it is really subtle, people have commented on how good it looks and how natural it looks. Thank you Alayne!

Marcia and I had a makeup lesson with Alayne. Not only did she sort out our makeup bags (embarrassing how much was old, dried up, etc) but she did our makeup and gave us both lots of pointers.
Much improved look when she finished.
It was a bargain and great fun---even better to do with a friend or a small group!!

The stars aligned! Having just turned 60 I had been looking for a new skin care/make up routine when one appeared in my inbox haha . Alayne's email. She had me at "grown-up make up". The visit to her comfy, cozy, sun-filled studio was just the atmosphere I needed! No glaring lights from a mall beauty counter or noisy chatter from a well-meaning salesperson. Where do you go to update your look? There are so many makeup, moisturizing and mascara options. I wanted help putting those options to work and not keep adding products that didn’t compliment each other. I saw Alayne’s makeup lessons and signed up. What a difference! My skin feels great, the colors flatter, and the difference is fantastic. Alayne is giving of her time, expertise and energy. My look is refreshed.
