Owning a business as a woman presents all kinds of interesting dynamics. One of the most common questions I get from the many women I come in contact with is How do you do it all? YIKES! BUTTER: an essay
Mommy, can we make butter today? No I say without even considering the question. Why do I auto no to that simple question? I definitely inherited that habit from my mother, my mother who likes to say that she was a mother who stayed home yet was more absent as a mother than if she had some high powered executive job.
Please can I make butter? I don’t have any heavy cream, I don’t have a mixer, I don’t, I can’t, I won’t, I blah blah blah my internal voice says. Why am I stifling his creative juices? I must admit the fleeting thought traveling through my mind is the possibility of him quietly trying to make butter while I lounge in the hammock, undisturbed, finishing my book.

More notes from alayne’s brain
I just finished watching Legally Blonde for about the 12th time since it first came out and I started thinking about why women go to spas. Why should you go to a spa and more importantly why is alayne white spa the spa to go to?
For all of the regular ‘spa goers’ out there, you know the reason. It is one of those treats that is not just about the way spas can make you look, to me that is just an added bonus; it is so much more than that. Spas, especially spas like alayne white spa can make you feel amazing. As I write that it seems almost a little cliche. Certainly you would expect to go to a spa and look and feel great, but there are so many spas out there who just give you the same old same old.
