Well, after 1 week of eating ridiculous quantities of yummy food (aka sugar and Italian bread) as well as lots of cold Gavi wine, my new favorite white for the summer, i woke up yesterday with my skin, body and mind feeling like I got run over by a truck. I sat with my depression for a few moments realizing all of my hard work in working out, eating healthy for the past 6 months, losing weight, getting fit went into a downward spin in less than 6 days.
The old me would have continued down the path, feeling defeated, feeling like here I go again, this is what I always do might as well just keep it going, after all sugar and Italian bread is so tasty when it is going down. But when I saw my skin break out in a way that I had not seen in years, when I put my tank top on, my size small tank top and it felt tighter than last week, ( no it didn't shrink) I immediately hit the reset button. Reset is a new concept for me and I am so excited that all of my hard work does not have to go down the tubes.

I love the beach. I grew up going to the beach with my family and have some incredible memories of the rituals of the beach. Of course since that time, we have learned about all the harmful effects of that lovely bright ball of fire we know as the sun, but I still go, applying 30 spf every hour or so. 2 things I can not live without though is my waxing services and my post beach skin products. I have been getting my legs waxed for as long as I can remember. Being dark, it is just so convenient as shaving never seemed to give me the smoothness I desired. Alayne White Spa offers the best leg and bikini waxing services because we make it relaxing too.
My son's end of the school year party in second grade, (7 years ago as he is now getting ready to go into high school). The great teachers in the backround are Mrs. Sousa and Mrs. Brum. THANK YOU!
I wish I had a photo of some of my favorite teachers over the years, but as I was reflecting on my Father's Day Blog this month, I realized that I had forgotten to mention a huge group of people who deserve rememberance, often unsung heros . OUR TEACHERS. This is why I am offering a special idea for them this upcoming month of June, but starting today.

Spas and men, sometimes, the perception for our men does not warrant a first time visit. I like to compare it to my first trip to the barber shop with my son. I felt like a big bright ball of estrogen trying to fit in amongst all of the testosterone sitting on the chairs waiting for their 15 minute hair cut. The fit at alayne white spa is much easier if you can get the nervous dad to take the first step and walk through the door, though and usually the first step is the very kind gift card he gets for Fathers Day.
Don’t get me wrong, we have a lot of men who are totally comfortable coming to either of our spa locations, the services they get are facials, pedicures, reflexology and, of course, massages. All are great choices for their first time coming and based on the feedback we get regularly, they are so happy they have found us once you get them in there. For Father’s Day this year, I recommend a few treatments.
