The question I always get when i tell people i am traveling to israel is, is it safe? aren't you afraid? Israel is of course a hot bed of energy, surrounded by people who really don't like them too much, but i feel incredibly safe here. The essence of my travel here is my awe for the overall lack of complacency and this i really cherish. pictures will follow as i am having some time with my ipad on this trip and this is where my photos are right now.

Here is an example of a typical menorcan dress. Everyone wore dresses. The shoes I am touching are menorcan sandals. They are really the 'crocs' of the island. Men women and children all wear them and I wish I could say I bought some, but I just couldn't get used to them. Instead I found some great sandals made of recycledmmaterial that Giselle designed, you know the stunning other half of our beloved Tom Brady.

Alayne shopping in the town of Mao, one of my favorite towns. Scarves and dresses at every turn, it was more than I could bare. I promised myself I wouldn't do much shopping, but after I bought a bike in Copenhagen in the hippie town of Christiania and had it shipped to the states, the floodgates were opened and there was no holding back.

Well I spent 5 phenomenal days in Copenhagen and then left and went to the island of Menorca off the coast of Spain. Not Mellorca, which is the larger island. This photo is of me and my friend, Ro who so graciously invited to to stay at her friends house for an entire week.

Today we went to the island Nekselø, off of a small summer town, called Havnsø, where my hosts have a beautiful summer cottage. I thought our atlantic was lovely, but this small island seemed untouched since the Vikings for real. About 6 houses on it and no one really around, we had the place to outselves to sunbathe, eat fruit and gaze at the over flowing rocks on the shore.

My friends all say that I am on some Eat Pray Love journey through Europe, I don't know.. what I do know that my first stop in Copenhagen of my 3 week journey is taking me on a path of pure joy. I have never taken this much time off, especially alone, but as you can see here with my friend, Sten who is showing me how to eat an official Denmark hot dog at a traditional stand, I am having a great time. (note the alayne white spa tee shirt i already got him to wear on the first day! I got all my freinds to wear them though copenhagen on July 4th! Pictures to follow)
