unsolicited advice for this month of love
i don't know about you, but if I put the tv on one more time and hear the same doom and gloom I think I am going to lose it. It is amazing how the media has such a hold over the way we decide to live and it is even more amazing how we let it influence our decision making. We continue to watch and grow more fearful when we do. What makes our human nature cling to every word they say? It is remarkable because if we have people in our lives that are constantly complaining and spewing the same doom and gloom, we tend to move away from those relationships, but when the media is doing the same, we cling to it like there is no tomorrow.
I am not sure why we do it, but we do and it is certainly not good for us, especially as women. We women are emotional, we feel things on instinctual levels that can create such heart tugging in our bodies it can cause illness. My unsolicited advice for this month of love is to give yourself more of it. Be love, spread love, give hugs, smile more, tell people you love them more. I am not trying to get all esoteric on you, but there is something to be said in the pay it forward attitude and Valentines Day month is one of those great excuses to remind all of us to be kinder to people. Be kinder in your driving, call someone you love and tell them what you have learned from them. Be the love you wish to receive. Serve. The great thing about love is it doesn't cost anything (unless of course it is a gift card to alayne white spa from your significant other) at all and is as abundant as you wish. We may not be going on those vacations or buying all the things we used to buy, but perhaps this is a great time to get back to those basics of loving your neighbor as yourself and just simply spreading the good that we are all so capable of.
Happy Valentines Day Love, Alayne
