Okay so i needed to get my legs waxed when i was in spain. My friend, RO, hooked me up with a nice salon in Madrid and off i went. What was really funny is that the lady who took care of me didn't speak one work of english and i am weak in fast spanish, so the communication was hilarious.
She used hard wax on me which i haven't had used since I wasn in esthetics school in 1987. Hard wax is the kind that gets put on thick and then peeled off rather than the strip wax that we use. She did a great job except that she recycled the leg wax she used in a strainer (no wonder the leg wax was cheap). Fortunately she did throw away the bikini wax strips. I was thinking to myself, american women would never allow this, i know it sounds disgusting, but oddly enough, it didn't really bother me. Please don't worry, we will never do this at alayne white spa, but if you ever are wondering why we need to charge what we do, think of this story and perhaps you will have a new appreciation for the sanitation that goes on behind the scenes at alayne white spa.
