From Alayne's Brain

Frankie Comes to the Whitehouse

I am not sure why, but I have never really been a dog person. This may sound odd to those of you who either know me or know of our annual Mother Dog Spa Day or the perpetual treats I have for the walk by doggies in Providence, but I have always loved the connection of people, especially women, and their dogs and I guess that has made me a dog person by osmosis. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, I had just never found a dog that I have felt that personal connection with like proud dog owners brag about.

A Letter to My Son for his 11th Birthday

My dearest Michael, I write this on late Christmas eve and I am reminded that you are moving into the next phase of your life as your 11th birthday approaches just 2 short days away. So here I am continuing my blog journey hoping that I can be the blogger I am supposed to be. I will try not to let you down, but there are no promises that another blog will come at any specific time. I am amazed that we women with so much on our plate even have time to read blogs, but we do so here I am.
